Lyrici Arts is a Kent based organisation (not-for-profit limited company) which works in partnership with local organisations and authorities to address diversity inclusion via arts programming.
Lyrici Arts was founded in 2016 by Keely Augustus and the name Lyrici means ' Of Literature, Art or Music) Expressing the writer's emotions in an imaginative and beautiful way.'
The company presents ongoing festivals and community events for Medway with added artist development support. They also have a focus on Black Minority Ethnic (BME) works. A wide range of BME lyrical arts activities are also programmed into the wider Kent community, including theatre shows, music and spoken word events, panel discussions, workshops and cultural events specific to BME holiday celebrations. All activity is underpinned in consultation and evaluation.
AREAS OF WORK
Lyrici Arts are composed of an industry team skilled in playwriting, theatre directing and producing.
We work closely with lyrical artists, actors and writers at different stages of their career, helping them to bring a lyrical stage show they have envisioned to life. Lyrici Arts will develop and stage new lyrical theatre shows which fuse components of storytelling, live music, choreography and poetic script. We also support lyrical art forms in their purest form.
Production options include stand alone events, developmental scratch shows, and full stage productions for regional or national tours.

Diverse arts programmes for community audiences (BME and non BME)
Lyrici Arts works in partnership with local venues, organisations and authorities to address diversity inclusion via arts programming.
Our objectives cover festival and community activity which examines making art accessible for all. We work within the realms of tours, workshops, scratch events, homegrown talent, crafting activities, and more. Lyrici Arts are a partner in the Collaborative Touring Network, with a regional festival focus on Medway until 2019. The festival is called 'Paint The Town'.
A wide range of BME lyrical arts activities are also programmed into the community, including theatre shows, music and spoken word events, panel discussions, workshops and cultural events specific to BME holiday celebrations. All activity is underpinned in consultation and evaluation. Lyrici Arts will be working in partnership with Medway Libraries and Arts Development team in 2017 to present a project entitled 'Legacy'.
Please get in touch with us if you would like to discuss our participation within a community project, cultural event, festival or wellbeing event.
Lyrici Arts is made up of an industry team skilled in theatre directing, creative producing, festivals, touring, dramaturgy and evaluation. Embedded at the heart of our ethos is artist development, and we're keen to offer support and guidance to emerging and established artists through our festival and community work.
The team also work closely with lyrical artists in R&D sessions to stage and test their work. This process involves theoretical training and added dramaturgy support, before offering the opportunity to tour polished shows around the South East and UK.
