Lyrici Arts is a Black-led theatre company rooted in Medway and working across Kent and nationally.

We collaborate with Black heritage artists to originate and tour powerful lyrical theatre shaped by identity, memory and lived experience. Our work centres joy as a creative force and contributes to cultural placemaking in a Priority Place while building sustainable national pathways. We are a part of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio.

Our name, Lyrici, speaks to lyrical storytelling, work that is shaped by rhythm, language and cultural memory. We create and tour theatre grounded in Black heritage and traditions, centring stories that deserve space on stage.

From our Medway base, an Arts Council Priority Place, we build work that travels nationally while strengthening cultural infrastructure locally. Through productions, publishing, artist development and education, we nurture creativity and build lasting cultural pathways.
